Lakefest 2024: 3 fantastic days of live music with BBC Introducing

Lakefest 2024 - wow! What an incredible 3 days contracted out via BBC Introducing.

I was called in to facilitate the broadcast mix of their stage. This involved working in tandem with festival audio engineers to ensure I was being fed working signals from stages in order to mix them ready for radio.

Alongside this, I filmed these live acts for the BBC, which I will be editing ready to be published across local and national social media pages and the iPlayer once the broadcast has left the sounds app.

This is one of many events and festivals I have worked on with BBC Introducing, and just like the others this was an incredibly enjoyable experience. This year we probably captured some of the best content so far, with interviews with acts taking place on all manor of festival activities (presenter Andrew Marston interviewing up and coming artist Jacob Coley on the dodgems was my personal highlight!)

Whilst I now head back to HQ to edit the audio for broadcast and videos for the iPlayer, I really do look forward to the next event that we work on together.
